I know there are multiple equally valid interpretations of Yuuri's prior sexual history, and they are all Good Shit. I personally find it amusing to think he actually pulls a startling amount of tail, but he has no idea how to seduce because he has literally never ever had to try. He lives in a Beautiful Person Bubble, where there are simply enough girlies, gays, and theys that are 100% ready to throw themselves at him that our boy never has to chase. It just… happens for him.
And I picture Phichit explaining this to Viktor at some point and Viktor's sexual frustration hitting a new and hilarious peak.

Yo, can I tell you the story of how my dad stopped being homophobic?
So he LOVES ice skating movies. He used to watch "The Ice Princess" with me on any occasion I would let him. He really likes the wholesome, inspirational themes that they often have.
So I tell him about Yuri On Ice, saying it's about learning to believe in yourself, and not letting doubts or past failures stop you from getting up and trying again. It's about family, love, and unlikely friendships, full of quirky characters and comedy. And of course, lots of skating.
So he agrees to watch it with me. At first, he's a bit pissy about the homosexuality aspect. When I ask him if he liked it after the first couple of episodes the was like "yeah, but not...those parts." He asks if we can watch more. Over the next couple of weeks, we finish the show.
At some point afterward he makes some comment about gay people, and I look him in the eye and say, "would you say that about Victor and Yuri?" in the most genuine, serious voice I can muster.
And so my dad has this horrified look of realization and goes, "...Of course I wouldn't."
He genuinely, as far as I can tell, stopped being homophobic after that. I could make some statements about the power of stories but it's just so funny: Gay Ice Skating Anime Cures Homophobia

I honestly don't like Yuri with his obsession with Yor BUT I think in his case it's really great character... eh... "quirk" Because his obsession isn't just used for some weird type of fanservice, but his personal flaw that gets in the way of his job He wants to get rid of Loid because Yuri loves his sister a bit too much, but he would be completely in the right because Loid is Twilight - his natural enemy. And because Yuri is so focused on the "Loi-loi is my sister's husband? Unacceptable!" and not "I need to have a background check on this guy, he might be suspicious" it creates a funny set-up for a story. Plus, the story really shows that he's pathetic when it comes to the family relationships - dude legit got jealous because of a supposed 6-year-old "taking his sister away from him"
